Thermal monocular questions

What is a thermal monocular?

A handheld thermal camera with an eyepiece. It reads the heat that people, animals and machines give off and shows it as a picture, so you can see them in complete darkness without any light.

Sight-MastIR or Trail-TrackIR?

Choose the Sight-MastIR for a compact, light unit with a long 7-hour swappable battery. Choose the Trail-TrackIR for more range and detail: a 640×480 sensor option, lenses up to 50 mm, 16 GB built-in recording and HDMI out.

Do thermal monoculars work in daylight?

Yes. Thermal imaging reads heat, not light, so it works day and night. It is especially useful at dusk, dawn and in heavy shade, where your eyes struggle.

What can I use a thermal monocular for?

Hunting and game recovery, wildlife watching, search and rescue, checking your property at night, and finding hot spots in electrical and HVAC equipment.
